Menu bar

Menu bar is at the very top and shows the title of all other menus that have a variety of commands, adjustements and panels at the same time. We are going to see what can you find inside this and explain what it is usefulness:

  • File: it lists options about our file. Create a new document, open it, save it, save it as...
  • Edit: here you have actions for edit the current document. Undo and redo steps, different types of transformation, keyboard shortcuts (very useful, trust me).
  • Image: from here you can make changes to the image you work on. Mode, adjustements, canvas size, image size...
  • Layer: Photoshop works using layers, and each of them are one over another, overlapping. Create newlayers, delete, merge, change properties, layer mask...
  • Type: Photoshop has typing tools. Panels, orientation, 3D text...
  • Select: this is a powerful resource in combination with layers.
  • Filter: in this menu you have a wide filter collection, so dare to try them.
  • 3D: we can work with 3D objects too and make useful compositions.
  • View: to change the way you see your document inside the window. Zoom in, zoom out, rulers, screen mode...
  • Window: mark what to see in the interface. Actions, brushes, color palette, history...
  • Help: search information about any question.
